April Fools' Day

                 April Fools' Day is celebrated in some European and Western countries. The holiday takes place on April 1st. People play pranks and spread hoaxes. The victim of these jokes is called the fool.  People often reveal their prank by shouting 'April Fools'. Some newspapers and magazines will print fake stories on this day. The article will either have a small note stating its false nature, or there will be something in the next edition to notify the readers.

hoax-(noun)-deception that is playful or mean in nature.
fool-(noun)-a silly person, (verb)- to trick someone, (adjective)-silly.

article-(noun)- a piece of writing included with others in newspaper, magazine or other publishing.
edition-(noun)- a particular version of a text.

Grammar concept: The post above contains both the simple future, an action 'will' occur. As well as, the present participle  -ing form.

  2. This is such a great thing to explain to someone that may not be familiar with American traditions. Someone that is new to the country would need to know about this in order to not be outcasted on April 1st. Great post!
